Movie Review – Chronicles of Narnia (Prince Caspian)

This movie had an unfair advantage when I watched it. I went with my brother who was taking his youth group to the El Capitan theater in Hollywood and it was above what I was expecting. The theater completely decorates in the theme of whatever movie is showing and puts on an entire show separate from the actual movie. Hopefully I can rate the movie separately from that and still give an accurate review. I enjoyed this movie more than The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. It seemed to have more action, a more interesting message, and better acting. I enjoyed the good vs evil and how the prince has to make the right decision but what I liked most was the message of how even when we are too scared to follow God wholeheartedly he doesn’t give up. He also allows us to come back to his open arms when we don’t deserve it. How much more could we experience the power of God is we simply trusted and obeyed? Anyways, great movie with a strong message and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. My rating is an A.

the makers of Prince Caspian kept to the original story in some ways and strayed in others… i heard they were going to make it into a silly pure-action flick, but thankfully this was not the case

Yeah. I really liked this movie as well. There were rumors that it wasn’t going to be as good because it was going to have to much action and not enough plot. I am glad to see that I am not the only one who feels that way.
